Hey Cirque Running community! Here’s another Eastern Sierra trail running video to pull you out of the dreaded case of the Monday’s you’re maybe experiencing. Hope this inspires you to get after it this coming weekend. Enjoy!
Tableslands trail running in Bishop, California in the Eastern Sierra, just south of Mammoth Lakes. The Tablelands trail is a 7 mile loop with 800' feet of elevation gain. You'll encounter breathtaking views of the Eastern Sierra during this relatively short trail run including stunning sights of Mount Tom, Basin Mountain, Mount Humphrey's, and Wheeler Crest. The best time of the year to run the Tablelands loop are the shoulder seasons (fall and spring), as well as winter, just like it's neighbor, Tungsten Peak. Summer time temps in Bishop can exceed 100 degrees so aim for those shoulder seasons or head into the High Sierra if you're visiting during the summer. For more info we suggest you check out the guide book, Sierra Trail Runs - A Guide to the Eastside, by Dan and Janine Patitucci, Hjordis Rickert, and Kim Strom. Enjoy this fun and scenic loop, and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel @CirqueRunning to keep up to date with all of our latest trail running edits!
